Opera Software late Tuesday released the second public beta of its upcoming 7.60 Windows browser.
An alternative to Microsoft's Internet Explorer, Opera 7.60 features revamped menus and an overhauled interface, an enabled-by-default popup blocker, and a new first-time startup dialog.
Unlike other non-Microsoft browsers such as Mozilla and Firefox, Opera is advertising supported and puts banners at the top of the screen. An ad-free version of its current production edition, 7.54, costs $39.
The beta can be downloaded from links posted to Opera's online forum.
