Zoho just launched a private beta for Zoho Meeting, their new online meeting application that will overlap with the important features of WebEx (recently acquired by Cisco) - desktop sharing. They’ll be bleeding new users in - sign up on the home page to request access...

Zoho Meeting lets you schedule meetings, share desktop, chat etc. However it offers few unique functionalities. For the current release, the host has to be on windows and the attendees can be on Windows, Mac, Linux or any OS with Java or Flash available. The attendees need not install anything to attend a meeting.

Yahoo is launching the 4.0 version of their desktop widget platform.
It is a lot lighter than the current version and have reduced widget virtual memory usage by as much as 40%...
Widget developers will be happy to hear the new version also comes with canvas object support, SQLite, DOM/Vvew system improvements, and new online documentation.

A while ago we did a post about Yahoo!Pipes, a GUI web app that lets you create new data feeds by remixing syndication feeds, here is another one called Teqlo, a new widget-based mashup application.
You build mashups by dropping specialized widgets onto the canvas and specifying interactions between them. For instance, you can map the results of an eBay search by dropping an eBay search widget and Google map widget on the canvas.
