Plurk's method offers multidirectional conversations, can Twitter do the same?
Plurk - another microblogging service, where the response timeline is displayed in a horizontal river interface - is a site which is mostly like Twitter but employs a much different view of status updates and offers multidirectional communication between plukers.
On Plurk the responses are all grouped together - not only for you to see but for your followers to see also.
Plurk is an easy way to chronicle and share the things you do, the way you feel, and all the other things in between that make up your life, with the people close to you.

The Chumby...bizarre little device... could change your future?
The creators of this bizarre little device have generated a huge buzz over the past few months - and it's not even due to be launched until early in the year. The Chumby is a wireless internet device about the size of a rugby ball. It has no keyboard or mouse but instead uses software called widgets to display pretty much anything you want it to - all the time. For instance, it will act as an alarm clock, play your music, show you constantly updated news or track an eBay auction.
Chumby is hackable.

Fritter - Frings and Twitter
Mobile startup Fring has found a smart way to make itself relevant and useful: by integrating Twitter. For those who aren’t familiar with it, Fring uses your phone’s Internet connection to make VoIP calls, send IMs and use VoIP services (Skype, Google Talk , MSN Messenger and SIP are supported). The addition of Twitter means that you can save on your SMS bill, since Fring works with Wi-Fi or your fixed data plan. So, no extra cost assuming you already have a data plan for your phone.
